Compliance & Security Vetting

Care providers are responsible for ensuring anyone working in their setting is safe to do so, including agency staff. Our vetting process is designed to give employers that assurance before a candidate is ever introduced, and to give candidates a clear, fair standard they are assessed against.

Before any candidate is put forward to a client, we confirm their identity using valid government issued photo identification, such as a passport or driving licence. Alongside this, we verify that the candidate holds the legal right to work in the UK, in line with current Home Office requirements. This includes checking original documents, such as a passport, visa, or a Home Office share code, and retaining the required evidence for our records. No candidate is introduced to a client until both checks have been satisfactorily completed.

We contact previous employers or care settings named by the candidate to verify their work history, conduct, and suitability for the roles they are applying for. This step allows us to build an accurate picture of a candidate's experience beyond what appears on paper, and gives employers confidence that the people we introduce have a verified track record in care.

Every candidate goes through the same standard of checks before being introduced to a client, regardless of the role or the urgency of the placement. We do not shortcut this process. Vetting information such as DBS results, right to work documents, and reference details is handled in line with UK GDPR and is only shared with the specific employer a candidate is placed with. It is never shared more widely, and never without reason. If a candidate does not meet the required checks, they are not put forward to any client.
